Programs

Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)

A year-long internship where teens provide feedback to better health services for them and their peers, coordinate community events, and publish their own newsletter. TAC members meet for about two hours weekly. Members receive training through a series of youth workshops to build crucial youth leadership skills and help coordinate TRC events. Every TAC member will receive experience with planning, outreach, and production assistance of TRC’s annual Basketball Tournament and semi-annual Open Mic Events.

Applications for TAC 2019 are now closed, and our new semester of TAC has started! 🌻

 Community Service Learning Program (CSLP)

A six month internship training program for youth ages 15 to 19. It is an opportunity to develop professionally and give back to the community. Interns are placed at a community organization for 6 months while participating in TRC workshops, discussions, and training. The youth show what they learn with the culmination of a final project. Qualified candidates are invited to a follow up interview. Once selected, interns are assigned to selected community organizations where they take on meaningful and rewarding roles through which they learn social responsibility and cooperation.
