Teen Talks and Newsletters
What is a Teen Talk?
A Teen Talk is an event hosted and coordinated by Teen Health Educators at the TRC. Each Teen Talk focuses on a specific topic relevant to teens. Teen Talks consists of various activities including presentations, skits, games and more. Along with the Teen Talk event, a Newsletter on the topic is also published and distributed to teens. Newsletter articles and contributions are written and created by Teen Health Educators and Teen Health Advocates.
Who is invited to a Teen Talk?
Anyone ages 11 to 21 is welcome to attend our Teen Talks and share their thoughts on the topic presented.
What different topics can you learn about at Teen Talks?
In the past, some of the topics we have discussed include: “Healthy Relationships”, “Body Image”, “Self Esteem” and “Abstinence”.
Why should I be interested?
Attending a Teen Talk is a great way to gain more knowledge about issues that affect teens and meet new friends!
