Community Service Learning Program 2019
TRC is kicking off another cycle of the Community Service Learning Program! Through weekly workshops, interns will develop leadership skills and explore the connection between immigration and mental health to build a community of support for Asian American and Asian immigrant youth.
We welcome anyone 16-21 years old who is passionate about bettering the community to apply, no matter your gender identity, status, or cultural background! NOTE: CSLP is currently primarily coordinated in English.
Relevant Issues and Social Empowerment: RISE 2019
TRC Flushing will begin a new program with a workshop series called Relevant Issues and Social Empowerment (RISE). Each month, teens will be able to learn about different relevant issues that impact our lives and our community such as body image, relationships, leadership, stress management, cultural appreciation, and gender identity.
What does a healthy relationship look like to you? In this interactive workshop, we will explore how understanding consent, coercion, communication, and choice can create a healthy environment for relationships between friends, family, significant others, and yourself!
Join TRC Flushing with the 2nd Relevant Issues & Social Empowerment (RISE) workshop about understanding consent and coercion on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 4:30pm – 6:00pm at 136-26 37th Ave. (4th floor conference room)!
