Hey Readers!

We’re glad that while you were drooling over the features of our redesigned website, you also took a moment to stop here and read about the new Teen Resource Center blog.

This blog is an entirely new project of the Teen Resource Center and the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. The reason we created it is because in the past, the TRC did not have an open web space for staff and teens to start or continue their conversations. We know that you may have attended the last CSLP exhibit, or the Annual Basketball Tournament in July, or any one of our Open Mic events, but whether you’ve come to one or a million of our events, you still haven’t received a full picture of the awesomeness that is TRC. By creating this blog, we are giving you a better insight into who we are, what we do, and most importantly, why we do it.

You may not see a lot of entries up now, but you will soon. Our designated staff writer and Teen Health Educator, Jennifer Lau, is super excited to share her stories about working in the TRC and what it means to be a teenager here in New York City. We also have a comments section where you can share your opinions.*

Thanks for reading to the end and come back soon. Trust us, it will be worth the wait!

Love,

* If you know the TRC at all, then you know that we play it clean, which means that any comments that include curses, foul language, or general malicious intent will not be allowed as public content on the blog. Only content that is appropriate for the TRC community will be approved for public posting. Please give us some time to get approved posts up online.
