1. Does the Teen Resource Center provide clinical services such as pregnancy testing?

No, the Teen Resource Center specifically provides educational services, programs, activities, and referrals. The TRC does not provide clinical services, but our Pediatric Unit located on the same floor does. The TRC can refer you to our doctors who work in the Pediatric Unit.


2. Who are Teen Health Educators?

Teen Health Educators are young, friendly and trained health educators who are available at the TRC to provide health related information.


3. Will anyone else know about the topics I discuss at the TRC?

No, your discussion at the TRC with the Teen Health Educators will be strictly confidential. This means, whatever you discuss with a Teen Health Educator at the TRC will stay within the Health Center.


4. Do TRC programs and services cost money?

All TRC educational services, programs, activities, and referrals are free.


5. Do you provide free condoms?

Yes. Stop by whenever the TRC is open and free condoms and lubricant will be available for you to pick up.

4:00-6:00pm at the TRC. Come learn what to expect as you set off to college. Whether you are staying in or leaving the city, there are a few tips and tricks that will help you start off your college-life right. You do not have to be a senior to attend!

event icon New York Teens Got Talent

1:00-3:30pm at the YMCA: 100 Hester St. Do you have a talent?! The TRC is hosting its first talent contest (singing, dancing, poetry, instrument)! What’s at stake? A cash prize! For those interested you must hand in a completed application to the TRC with a 1 minute video clip of your talent to the TRC on Saturday March 20 or March 27 from 2-6pm. All members of a group must register.
